Jackson Wyoming and Yellowstone are a treasure nestled in the Rocky Mountains. This beautiful stretch of land is like stepping into another world. There are wonders at every turn. It truly is a breathtaking area. This guide will give you everything you need before your visit. It includes the best places to stay, tons of experiences (everything from hiking to restaurants), and much more. I have spent months at these locations as they are one of my favorite places to be in the world. I have put over 60 plus locations for you to experience all it has to offer!
Itinerary
The Start of an Adventure / Arrive in Jackson
First Day you will arrive in Jackson. Take your time and walk around downtown and enjoy the shopping. Check into your hotel or resort from our choices. Maybe get a custom cowboy hat in Main Street or get a new blanket at Pendelton to remember your trip. Finish the evening with pizza or Thai food from Teton Tiger.
...Explore Grand Teton
Exploring the park without burning yourself out. This is the perfect start to experiencing all Grand Tetons have to offer.
...Hiking Day
This will be your big hike day. You will have multiple to choose from. I am giving you a few of my favorites and you can choose whichever you think is best for your skill level and party.
...Last Day in Jackson/Tetons
On your last day in the Tetons, you will unwind from an amazing hike from the day before. You will watch the sunrise in my favorite location and then go cliff jumping in the afternoon before turning in for the day.
...Making our way to Yellowstone
You will make the journey up to Yellowstone from Jackson. Give yourself adequate time so you can enjoy the drive and see lots of wildlife. The earlier you leave the better to have a better chance to see wildlife. You will drive through the Rockefeller Highway that connects the two parks. Takes about 2 hours to drive it.
...West Yellowstone
The only way to do Yellowstone is by breaking it down into sections. If you try and do the whole park in one day it will be impossible. It is too big. So try and break each day into different sections of the park.
...The Northern Part of Yellowstone Best Wildlife
This day you will go to Norris Geyser Basin on the way to Mammoth Hot Springs.
...East Side of Yellowstone
These are my favorite spots on the East Side of Yellowstone. It is also home to my favorite hike in the park and it is a challenging one for sure.
